Other milk-based health-promoting products
Lactic acid bacteria and milk peptides have been the subject of much study in Finland, and the research results have been beneficial to product development, such as drinks and yoghurt that lower blood pressure and blood cholesterol based on the bioactive peptides in milk. Lactic acid bacteria have been noted to improve intestinal resistance and have been added to yoghurts, milk-based drinks, juices, processed milk products, cheeses and even ice cream.
